I moved into my new place 2 weeks ago. The second day here I got up for work and while walking to the kitchen discovered my socks were wet. Hmm. Turns out my bedroom had flooded over night. So currently, 2 weeks later the problem is ongoing with 2 huge industrial fans, a dehumidifier, torn up carpet and pieces of missing wall. Did I mention this place is very inexpensive?

Saturday night was the marvelous wedding of my friends Jill and Jason! It was on the beach at Golden Gardens on a beautiful 80 degree day. The reception was at the old brick bath house that sits just off the beach. There was an open bar, drag queen, karaoke, and last but certainly not least, the vodka ice luge. I just finished reading Packing Inferno by Tyler Boudreau.I cannot reccommend it enough.He's a retired Marine writing about his experiences in Iraq, combat stress & what it is to be in war.He's smart, serious, lighthearted at times & above all truthful.It's a mind altering experience my friends, enjoy it.

Yesterday evening I glanced out my window to see this fellow. The blue caught my eye and I thought 'Wow, a blue jay in the backyard, thats funny, wheres its funky top?'. Its cold out.
