My favorite place on earth is Catalina Island off the coast of LA. I have been going there since I was tiny, staying in the harbor in my grandpas boat wearing my swim suit all week, fishing with string off the bow, eating ice cream on the pier. Even as I've gotten older I still go back every year, now we drink wine on the deck, scuba dive, still stay in my suit all week and hike the islands beautiful landscape. Its on fire. I saw pictures this morning and I want to cry. Normally whenever I want to cry I think of a pretty day laying on the beach in Catalina. Oh man this is sad. I have a trip planned to go in 2 months, guess I'll be surveying the damage.
